What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

IPL-Intense Pulsed Light, also called Photo Skin Rejuvenation, can be used safely and gently to correct a number of skin conditions with one technology.  It is considered the most effective skin treatment available today and is the ideal solution for the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions including pigmentation, brown spots,  blotchy skin, rosacea, enlarged pores, sun damage, freckles, acne, redness and broken capillaries and to stimulate new collagen production in the skin.

Pulses of safe, filtered light penetrate the top layer of the skin targeting the dermis underneath where the melanin and haemoglobin reside.  The affected cells are destroyed and either absorbed via the lymphatic system or removed by the body (micro crusting).

The ability to regulate the wavelength of light emitted during an IPL procedure enables safe and successful treatment of the face, hands, arms, back, legs and sensitive chest area.  The sensation of the treatment is often described as similar to the feeling of a hot rubber band flicking against the skin.  The sensation only lasts for a fraction of a second and a mild sunburn sensation is experienced for a short time afterward.

Immediately after your treatment, you can expect a mild sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling which usually lasts 2-24 hours, and can be soothed with cold gel or ice packs. There is no down time, only redness which is temporary and easily covered by makeup.

During your consultation you will be advised of any preparatory procedures you may need to undertake before you can commence your treatment. Your treatment will be tailored to you as an individual and you will receive honest, professional advice and a realistic expected outcome.  You don't have to put up with those annoying skin conditions any longer.  Call to arrange your free consultation today or simply fill out an enquiry on this website.
